If interested in having Coach Andrew Dahl conduct a
Shooting or Skills Camp at your gym, please contact
AndrewDahl@HoopsTraining.com or 651-592-6099 for details.
Instead of offering co-ed week-long camps again this summer, we're going to
be conducting 2-Day Camps separated for either boys or girls!

June 18-19 - BOYS entering 7th-9th grades (9am-4pm with lunch break from noon-1pm)
June 20-21 - BOYS entering 4th-6th grades (9am-4pm with lunch break from noon-1pm)
June 25-26 - GIRLS entering 7th-9th grades (9am-4pm with lunch break from noon-1pm)
June 27-28 - GIRLS entering 4th-6th grades (9am-4pm with lunch break from noon-1pm)

Cost: $145 (T-Shirt with NEW Hoops Training Logo included)
Location: Victoria Rec Center
Each camp group is limited to 32 participants.
Register for upcoming 2018-19 grade level.

The camps are led by Hoops Training Director Andrew Dahl with other camp coaches added based on
number of registrants. An 8:1 player/coach ratio will be the maximum.

The morning portion of the camps will feature:
1) Understanding Your Shot - shooting form must-do's to be a good shooter. Learning what caused the shot to miss and how
to fix it for your next shot. Players will be given a shooting form handout to refer to when practicing on their own.

How To Create Space To Get Shots Off - a variety of moves will be explained and detail along with repetitions both with and
without defenders.

Driving and Finishing Moves - developing an attack-the-basket mindset while being tough and physical to finish through

Passing - handling pressure and how to deliver passes to the right teammate at the right time

Boxing Out & Rebounding - so valuable to a team's success but often not practiced enough. We will hammer it out at camp
and create some "animals" on the boards!

Defense - most coaches agree that you won't play much (or at all) if you can't defend. We'll work on drills to quicken the feet,
proper closeout positioning, how to wall-up and contest shots without fouling, and help-side situations.

The afternoon portion of the camps will feature:
1) When and Why - understanding situations to use the moves we worked on in the morning and practicing those in both
controlled and live scrimmage situations.

Competitions - all kids want to scrimmage or do competitions!  So will mix some in to have some fun while we're improving
our game.

3on3, 2on2, and 1on1 Scrimmaging - compete against similarly skilled players with an added emphasis (bonus points) to
try some of the things we've worked on instead of always going to the same/comfortable one or two moves.

Fast Break Situations - reacting quickly and how to make the right reads to get your team the best shot possible
